One of our favourite christmas present ideas this year is the Jumbo Alphabet chunky puzzle by Melissa and Doug. It features the alphabet in lower case letters, in chunky pieces that are easy for little hands to hold.
The pieces can stand up, ideal for practicing spelling and letter recognition.
Bright colours and fun pictures make this a must have for any puzzle collection.

elf-adhesive pads on the back, ready to stick to the bedroom door, wall or wherever takes your fancy. A simple way to brighten up any bedroom. We recommend Alsuna Crazy Bird letters to decorate the plaques, as the colours really stand out from the plaque, creating a unique and personalised gift. We use blue tack to fix the letters to our plaques, they stay in place really well and can be removed if required (perhaps if a child decides they would rather be known
by a nickname in future years, for example). Our customers have also recommended self-adhesive pads or glue for a more permanent solution.
The name plaques can fit a maximum of five to nine letters, depending on size.

54 Sleeps To Go....
Our toy recommendation for today is the Lamaze range of baby toys. Each friendly character is bright and colourful with a range of textures, sounds and other features. There are also black and white elements on each toy, ideal for newborns.
The best thing about these toys is the simple addition of a plastic loop, to attach to a pram, pushchair or cot. No more crying over lost toys!
Prices from £7.99, available on our website at thenurseryshop.com
